Founded by a Clinician, Built for Results
Stratum Clinic was founded by Mark Taylor MSurg, INP, RMN — an aesthetic clinician with a Master of Surgery in Aesthetic Medicine and qualification as an Independent Nurse Prescriber.
After years of prescribing and seeing patients in clinic, Mark noticed a gap: patients wanted clinical-grade skincare they could trust at home, but were overwhelmed by the sheer volume of products making unsubstantiated claims.
Stratum was built to bridge that gap. Every product is personally selected based on clinical evidence, ingredient efficacy, and real-world results observed in practice — not marketing budgets or influencer partnerships.
Clinical Credentials & Trust
-
MSurg Aesthetic Medicine
A postgraduate Master of Surgery in Aesthetic Medicine — the highest surgical qualification in the field. This underpins every product recommendation with deep clinical understanding of skin physiology, ageing, and treatment protocols.
-
Independent Nurse Prescriber
Qualified to independently prescribe prescription-only medicines including Advanced-Protocol Retinoid, prescription depigmenting agent, and other Rx-strength treatments. Your consultation is reviewed by someone who can clinically assess what your skin actually needs.
-
Authorised UK Partner
Stratum is an authorised UK partner for both Medik8 and Obagi Medical. Every product is sourced directly from UK-authorised distributors — guaranteeing authenticity, correct storage, and full manufacturer support.
-
Registered & Regulated
Stratum Limited (Company No. 17109287) is registered in England & Wales at 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE. We operate in full compliance with UK prescribing regulations and data protection law.
Our Product Philosophy
We don't stock hundreds of products. We don't chase trends. We carry a curated range of clinically proven formulations from two of the most respected brands in expert-selected skincare: Medik8 and Obagi Medical.
Every product on Stratum has been personally reviewed, used in clinical practice, and selected because the evidence supports it. If it doesn't meet our clinical standard, it doesn't make the shelf — regardless of how well it sells elsewhere.
When advanced-protocol treatment is appropriate, we prescribe it. When over-the-counter products are sufficient, we recommend those instead. The goal is always what's right for your skin — not what's most profitable for us.
